What Sets Us Apart Is Our Student Involvement

Workshops

Our workshops are uniquely designed and chosen by fellow students to provide specialized training that addresses what young actors really want. We partner with artists, educators, and theatre professionals from the broader community to offer a multitude of workshops. From college audition & portfolio prep to music composition, cue calling and various acting styles - ensuring every student has the tools to grow and shine.

Student Showcases

This annual fundraiser gives students a chance to showcase their talents beyond musical theatre in a fun, supportive space. Any and everything goes in this collaborative, talent-show-style production - music, comedy, dance, original work and more - with absolutely no judges, just pure celebration!

Community Involvement

Our students are deeply engaged in the community, from performing at Children’s Day festivities to dreaming up pop-up shows for the public all over Key West. Looking ahead, they’re planning high school–student-led workshops for middle and elementary students, inspiring the next generation of performers.

Productions

Our annual spring musical is the big event of the year for KWHS Drama Club members. A full semester of hard work goes into this production, with students taking the lead on everything - from acting & music, to sets, costumes, tech, and marketing. Proceeds from ticket sales, program advertisers, and sponsors fund the club for the following year, helping students get a jump on the next musical and bring any new project they dream up to life.
